SEPTEMBER: WE LOVE

Heres a sneak peek into what we’ve been living and loving this month…

Japanese paper ballons from PETRA BOASE make the coolest paper party decorations and have become a firm favourite in our house as well as my go-to gift of choice. These cute and quirky characters come in a colourful array of different animal shapes sold as singles or in multipacks where you can pick and mix your own collection. Made from environmental paper they also look adorable strung up around the house – perfect for personalising your little ones playspace or even made into a mobiles. Although, beware little ones may get overexcited at the sight of these cuties and rip into the delicate paper so best recommended from age 2 and up.

Everyone knows and loves the children’s classic bedtime book, Goodnight Moon, right? Well how about learning it in Spanish? BUENAS NOCHES LUNAS is just as rhythmic and soothing as the original and after spending our annual summer hols in sunny Spain, this has become the perfect incentive for practising our vocab together.

Luckily my little one still isn’t much of a sweet eater (whoopee!) so popcorn is her one and only vice….well, for the moment at least. METCALFE’S skinny sweet ‘n’ salt is the topcorn of choice and all the more delicious served up in one of these cool retro POPCORN PARTY BOXES which also work great as party favours, in goody bags or for sweet cinema vibes at home!

I think we might have an obsession with cats on our hands. But how can we resist when H & M Kids keeps on delivering with their cat-tastic clothes and accessories? I often find it challenging to source sweaters and jumpers I like for my little one, but this CATS HAVE MORE FUN number is the perfect balance between cute and cool. Pair it with the STRAW CAT BAG and you’ve got a match made in Kitty heaven!

Whaa G’waan? It’s RASTAMOUSE in da house with his crime busting mouse reggae crew! I’m absolutely in love with the nostalgic, hand-crafted feel of this stop-motion CBeebies cult kids classic. But truth be told, it did take Bou a little while to get used to the riddims of the patois before she could completely appreciate it. But now she does, she loves it even more than me! I defy anyone to be able to resist the happy happy reggae music and a mouse whose mission to spread love and respect and ‘make a bad ting good!’ Nuff said.
