PLAY APRON DIY

If you’re a dab hand with a needle and thread and your little one loves creative play then checkout my play apron pattern and tutorial featured exclusively in the latest issue of Pretty Patches magazine – Issue 10 out NOW!
We love painting and crafting in our house, so an apron is an essential piece of creative kit for my budding young artist. If like me, protecting your little ones clothing during messy play is often a care and concern then you’re gonna love this DIY featuring toddler friendly tie-fastenings and a handy base pocket for storing pens and brushes. Kids will have as much fun wearing it as you did making it!
This simple-to-sew tabard style apron uses a combination of appliqué and english patchwork piecing techniques – making it perfect for practicing patchwork techniques as well as dressmaking skills. Designed with both boys and girls in mind, the pattern can be sized up or down from ages 2 – 5. Happy Painting!
