ASTRO KID

To celebrate my little one’s love for her new favourite tasty treats, Nairn’s ASTRO BITE biscuits we decided to organise a space day at home since there’s been lots of talk about astronauts, aliens and outer-space in general ever since we discovered these wholesome space-tastic snacks.
I also made her a special astro cape (DIY coming up soon!) and then we spent the afternoon doing a few space themed fun and games. I strung up some star-shaped bunting and we made a balloon alien that we taped up onto the celling with invisible thread. She LOVED this and had a blast off jumping around in her silver cape pretending to be an astro explorer!
To finish off our afternoon, I decided to organise a little moon rock hunt as we’ve still got a whole bunch of plastic eggs leftover from Easter. I placed some astro treats into the eggs, then wrapped them in some foil and hid them around the house. Then I gave Bou a silver bucket and let her hunt about to find them. This was soooo much fun and the perfect ending to our afternoon of space day role-play!
Astro Bites come in handy mini snack-size bags – perfect for lunch boxes and after-school snacks and feature a galactic selection of fruity, oaty and delicious characters including, shooting stars, planets, space ships, rockets, aliens and of course captain astro!
Best of all, Astro Bites are made from wholegrain oats and contain no artificial flavourings with about 40% less sugar than your average children’s biscuit. Making them a healthy, wholesome not to mention far-out and fun snack to fuel kids throughout their day!
WE cannot get enough of these delicious berry blast biscuits, plus they made the perfect talking point to fire-up an interest in early astronomy for little explorers… May the force be with you!
